World launches WorldID for banks, Zoom deepfake detection goes live
World, an identity verification project co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, said on Oct. 19 it launched a WorldID product line aimed at banks and financial firms. It is the first time the company has introduced products targeting a specific industry. The lineup includes the WorldID app, WorldID for Zoom and WorldID for agents. World said the products can help prevent deepfake fraud and AI impersonation across customer accounts, employee work and AI agents.
