Microsoft steps up push to expand Windows 11 native app ecosystem
Microsoft has unveiled a range of AI agent tools to support Windows 11 native app development at its annual Build 2026 developer conference, Windows Central reported on June 3. The company released WinUI agent plugins for GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, the report said. The plugins include WinUI-specific skills to help developers build native Windows apps and migrate existing apps to the WinUI 3 framework. Microsoft also previewed WinUI 3 templates.
