Woori Bank launches budget mobile plans linked to financial transactions

Woori Bank has launched budget mobile phone plans that offer discounts on monthly bills for up to 12 months, depending on customers’ financial transaction performance such as payroll transfers or receipt of four major pensions. Through its WooriWON Mobile service, the bank introduced two WooriWON Celeb plans, 15GB+ and 71GB+. The plans include additional launch promotions, points and monthly coupons and data vouchers during the subscription period.

MyData market expands as Korea faces impact of consecutive base rate hikes

Korea\'s financial MyData service is set to expand beyond individuals to sole proprietors and small merchants, evolving from simple data checks to executing financial tasks. The Financial Services Commission plans to broaden the right to request transmission of credit information and to introduce a \"My AI agent\". Separately, the Bank of Korea has raised its base rate for a second straight month, adding to upward pressure on loan rates and borrowers\' interest burdens.

KT begins rebuild of Woori Bank AI chatbot, consultation bot

KT said on Aug. 31 it has been selected as the contractor for Woori Bank’s project to rebuild its AI chatbot and consultation bot and has begun system development. The project aims to upgrade infrastructure for Woori Bank’s non-face-to-face customer consultation channels and to expand consultation scope and task processing by linking AI Banker and AI agents. KT will apply its Agent Connector solution to connect channels and carry over consultation context.
