Low-cost 1TB SSD era ends; three models to buy before prices surge
Shunsuke Nakato (나카토 슌스케), a senior executive at Japanese chipmaker Kioxia, warned that rapid price increases for 1TB SSDs are likely to accelerate. He said this year’s production has already sold out and the era of 7,000 yen low-cost 1TB SSDs is over. In the United States, 1TB SSDs cost at least $100, with some NVMe models above $130. TechRadar recommended three models to buy before prices rise further.
