Superb AI develops AI model to detect electric vehicle fires in underground parking garages
Superb AI said on Sept. 1 it jointly developed an AI model with the National Fire Research Institute to detect electric vehicle fires early in underground parking garages. The model focuses on faint smoke in the early stage of battery thermal runaway. Research results showed detection time was cut by 65 percent and false alarms fell by 80 percent versus existing methods. The system runs on edge devices and can be deployed on existing CCTV infrastructure.
