Visa, Circle and Ripple back Velocity as valuation hits $200 million
UK stablecoin payments and treasury platform Velocity raised $10 million in additional Series A funding, taking total Series A proceeds to $48 million and valuing the company at $200 million. The round included Visa Ventures, Circle Ventures, Ripple, Hawn Ventures, Translink Capital and Mirana Ventures. Velocity said the funds will be used to expand infrastructure for issuers, merchant acquirers, payment firms, financial institutions and retailers worldwide.
