NC AI wins Hanwha Ocean contract for autonomous welding project for commercial and special-purpose ships
NC AI has won a Hanwha Ocean project to develop a vision-recognition welding model and a collaborative-robot autonomous welding model, it said on Wednesday. The project combines AI vision recognition with precision robot control for welding, a core shipbuilding process. The goal is a physical AI solution that identifies and judges weld areas and performs optimal welding in real time. The results are set to be applied to Hanwha Ocean’s commercial and special-purpose shipbuilding.

Ethereum Foundation researcher Josh Stark to leave after 5 years
Josh Stark (조시 스타크), a key researcher and project manager at the Ethereum Foundation, is leaving after five years. Cointelegraph reported the departure is seen as the most high-profile personnel exit since a leadership reshuffle in the first quarter of 2025. Stark said on X he would leave but did not explain why and said he had no future plans. Other departures have also been disclosed, including Trent Van Epps.
