Google adds low-cost Gemini models, unveils security-focused version
Google has unveiled three new Gemini models that emphasise price and efficiency, and also introduced a security-focused version. Alphabet launched Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, Gemini 3.6 Flash and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, CNBC reported. The Cyber model detects and patches software vulnerabilities and will initially be available only through a restricted-access pilot for governments and trusted partners. Google said the new models use fewer tokens and cost less per token.

Korea-made on-device AI semiconductors have reached global-level hardware performance but are failing to clear the commercialisation hurdle because of software barriers. Domestic NPU chips often drop out at the proof-of-concept stage because software development kits, compilers and related tools are not mature enough for customers to run them. Set makers say a lack of frameworks, profiling and debugging tools raises development costs, pushing them back toward Nvidia’s CUDA-based chips.

HiteJinro names Son Heung-min as new Tera model
HiteJinro said on March 3 it has selected Son Heung-min as the new model for its Tera brand. It said Son’s dynamic energy as an active player fits Tera’s brand image. The company said it expects synergy between Tera’s 7th anniversary and Son, who is associated with the number 7. It plans TV commercials and follow-up campaigns, including edition releases and brand day events.
