Replit CEO says ChatGPT is better, citing why it picked OpenAI over Anthropic

U.S. AI software development platform company Replit has effectively switched the default model partner for its AI coding platform from Anthropic to OpenAI. Co-founder and CEO Amjad Masad (암자드 마사드) said on stage at TechCrunch Disrupt that Replit no longer works with Anthropic, while later saying users can still choose Anthropic models and only the default has changed to OpenAI\'s ChatGPT. He cited cost, performance and partnership, and said enterprise revenue is rising.

Benchmark says AI ecosystem not the problem, flags causes of stock swings

Venture capital firm Benchmark said it does not plan to accelerate its investing pace despite the AI investment boom. Its five partners said they aim to keep new investments at 2 to 3 deals per partner annually. Benchmark raised $2 billion this summer across two funds, its second-largest fundraise in its 31-year history. Partners said market swings reflect distorted information and volatility rather than fundamental problems in the AI ecosystem.
