AI security technology surges to counter AI-driven attacks
Security companies are accelerating efforts to counter threats that exploit AI models, with momentum building around agentic AI-based security. Zscaler introduced two security products for AI agents and an AI Access Graph, while Check Point launched agent-based exposure validation. Concerns are rising over a “patch gap” as AI can find vulnerabilities and write attack code within hours. Companies including Rubrik, Samsung SDS and others also announced new products and partnerships.

Samsung SDS expands AI and cloud security in partnerships with specialist firms
Samsung SDS is strengthening its AI-based cloud security business through partnerships with U.S. AI security startup XBOW and South Korean cloud security company Tatum Security. With XBOW, it plans to expand AI-driven vulnerability detection for corporate customers\' web-based IT assets and conduct penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses. With Tatum Security, it aims to enhance integrated security monitoring for multicloud environments and broaden cooperation into cloud access and privilege management services.

Tatum Security raises Series A bridge funding from Samsung Venture Investment, SJ Partners
Tatum Security, a cloud security company, said it raised Series A bridge funding from Samsung Venture Investment and SJ Partners in late December, but did not disclose the amount. The company said it provides solutions to address a range of security issues in cloud environments. It plans to speed up product upgrades, hiring and overseas expansion. It also aims to strengthen go-to-market efforts in enterprise and public-sector markets and targets tripling annual revenue.
