Lotte Chemicals group diversifies semiconductor materials supply chain, breaks ground on Handuk Chemical Pyeongtaek plant
Handuk Chemical, an affiliate of Lotte Chemicals group, held a groundbreaking ceremony on June 19 for a semiconductor and display developer plant in the Poseung (BIX) district of Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. The company plans to invest 130 billion won to build production facilities on a 32,216-square-metre site. It will make tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH), used in developing fine circuit patterns. Handuk Chemical plans to expand lines in stages to match customer expansion schedules.
