Alibaba Cloud starts first France data centre, builds third Europe hub
Alibaba Cloud has opened its first data centre in France, establishing its third European base after Germany and Britain. The facility, located in Paris, is intended to address rising demand for data sovereignty and local cloud services, the company said. Alibaba Cloud also plans to roll out agentic AI services across Europe in the second half of this year. The move comes as European firms and regulators put greater emphasis on keeping data stored domestically or within the region.
