Japan\'s Metaplanet moves 2,400 bitcoin again to Coinbase, CEO says not for sale
Japanese investment firm Metaplanet transferred 2,400 bitcoin worth about $186 million to Coinbase Prime on Aug. 31, local time. The move was the third large transfer in a week, split into six transactions over three hours. Metaplanet also moved 1,000 bitcoin on Aug. 25 and 1,350 on Aug. 28. The CEO denied the transfers were for selling, calling them custody management moves and saying holdings remain 43,000 bitcoin.

Japan\'s Metaplanet seeks to set up \'Superplanet\' treasury platform with 2,100 bitcoin investment
Japan\'s bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet plans to invest 2,100 bitcoin to establish a U.S. bitcoin treasury platform. Through a deal with U.S. digital advertising and gaming media company Super League, it plans to rename the company Superplanet while keeping its Nasdaq listing and SUPA ticker. Metaplanet will also contribute $2.5 million in cash via its U.S. unit. It expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
