AWS launches open-source AI agent Strands Harness for multi-cloud
Amazon Web Services on Sept. 21 launched Strands Harness, an open-source agent designed to help developers build and deploy AI agents in any environment. AWS said many developers can prototype agents locally with Anthropic\'s Claude Code and OpenAI\'s Codex but face difficulty moving from local setups to scalable cloud environments. Strands Harness can run on AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, among others, and supports multiple frontier models.
