SpaceX pushes to build 13-km gas pipeline to fuel Starship and boost launches
SpaceX is moving to build its own natural gas pipeline linking a fuel facility to its Texas launch base to supply fuel for its next-generation Starship vehicle. The plan involves a roughly 13-km pipeline called Starpipe, according to documents filed by an affiliate with the Texas Railroad Commission. Starship uses about 2.4 million litres of liquid methane per launch. The pipeline is designed to exceed fuel needs for the FAA-approved 25 annual launches.
