Samsung SDS holds RX ART in U.S. to test robot use at Samsung affiliates\' manufacturing sites
Samsung SDS held RX ART 2026 in Mountain View, California, from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1 local time, with robot executives and leaders from major Samsung affiliates attending. It said it validated industrial-site robot use cases jointly identified with affiliates with global physical AI companies including Walden Robotics and RoboForce, and shared results. The company tested parts handling and consumable replacement, assessed automation in outdoor shipbuilding and plant sites, and proved possibilities for precise work.

Samsung signs shared-growth deal with suppliers to extend support across supply chain
Samsung Group has expanded its support system for partner companies across its supply chain. Eleven affiliates including Samsung Electronics signed an agreement on June 29 at Samsung Electronics\' Suwon campus with first- to third-tier partner companies to build a shared-growth ecosystem. About 6,700 partner companies in Samsung\'s supply chain are expected to benefit. The deal covers funding, technology and staffing, and includes support for second- and third-tier suppliers and an industrial accident fund plan.

Park Jong-sung and Jung In-hwa win April South Korea Engineer Award
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Industrial Technology Association said on April 13 they selected Park Jong-sung of SEMES and Jung In-hwa of Atlas Networks as winners of the April 2026 Korea Engineer Award. Park was recognized for developing MPGA prober equipment for inspecting HBM chips. Jung was cited for developing a VPN-based SD-WAN solution and a wireless mobile test automation platform.
