Chinese firms roll out new AI models as Alibaba, ByteDance, Kuaishou step up push
Chinese companies including Alibaba, ByteDance and Kuaishou have rolled out new AI models, CNBC reported on Friday. Alibaba’s DAMO Academy unveiled RynnBrain, a robot model for understanding surroundings and identifying objects. ByteDance announced Seedance 2.0, which generates realistic video from text and can also use user videos or images. Kuaishou introduced Kling 3.0 for 15-second video and multilingual audio, while Zhipu AI and MiniMax presented open-source models.

Alibaba launches RynnBrain AI model for robots, expands into physical AI
Alibaba has unveiled RynnBrain, an AI model intended to help robots understand and identify their surroundings, CNBC reported on Monday. Alibaba released RynnBrain as open source so developers can use it for free. The model targets the physical AI field, which includes robotics technologies such as autonomous vehicles. CNBC said Nvidia is developing robot AI models under the Cosmos brand, while Google DeepMind has Gemini Robotics-ER 1.5.
