Morpho raises $175 million for on-chain lending protocol
On-chain lending protocol Morpho raised $175 million in a funding round co-led by Paradigm, a16z Crypto and Ribbit Capital, The Block reported. Apollo Fund, Circle Ventures, VanEck, Ledger Cathay, Wintermute Ventures, SBI Group and France\'s state investment bank also participated. The investment was structured as token purchases. Morpho said it offers a blockchain-based lending market where users can create lending pools by setting their own risk parameters.

Teen-founded U.S. defense startup Mach Industries valuation quadruples in a year
U.S. defense technology startup Mach Industries raised $300 million in a Series C round, valuing the company at $1.8 billion. TechCrunch reported the valuation is nearly four times higher than a year ago, after a $100 million raise in June 2025 at a $470 million valuation. The round was led by Infinite Capital and Ribbit Capital. Mach is developing five autonomous aircraft and plans to start producing at least three next year.

AI coding startup Cognition raises over $1 billion at $25 billion valuation, ARR nears $492 million
AI coding startup Cognition raised more than $1 billion at a pre-money valuation of $25 billion. TechCrunch reported the valuation marked a sharp rise from an October post-money valuation of $10.2 billion after a $400 million funding round in September last year. Cognition develops Devin, an autonomous AI software engineer. The round was led by Lux Capital and General Catalyst, with participation from Founders Fund and 8VC, among others.
