Naver Cloud launches fully managed cloud database service based on open source Valkey
Naver Cloud said on Thursday it launched Cloud DB for Cache, a fully managed cloud database service built on open source Valkey. The company said it is the first domestic firm to introduce an in-memory cache database service based on Valkey. It said the service offers a practical alternative as open source Redis shifts to a commercial licence for cloud services, increasing technical and cost uncertainty. It added the service can be used in domestic public cloud environments.
