Australia\'s first eight-hour grid battery begins operations using 144 Tesla Megapacks
Australia has begun commercial operations of its first grid battery capable of discharging for 8 hours, aimed at storing surplus solar power during the day and supplying it from evening into the night. The Limondale battery energy storage system in New South Wales, developed by Germany\'s RWE, uses 144 Tesla Megapacks and is rated at 50 MW and 400 MWh. It charges at about 100 MW and discharges at 50 MW.

Dassault Systemes to acquire ArisGlobal to boost life sciences push
Dassault Systemes said on Tuesday it signed a definitive agreement to acquire ArisGlobal, an AI-native enterprise compliance platform company, as part of its push into the life sciences market. Google backs German startup Proxima Fusion aiming for Europe\'s first commercial fusion power plant
Google has invested in German startup Proxima Fusion, which is aiming to build Europe’s first commercial nuclear fusion power plant. Proxima Fusion said it closed a 411 million euro funding round, valuing the company at $2.7 billion. The round was led by XTX Ventures and EastX Ventures, with RWE and Google as strategic investors. The company is developing a stellarator and targets an early-2030s demonstration plant and a commercial facility later in the decade.
