Kim Dae-jung elected chair of 3GPP top coordination committee for 2027
Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said on Thursday that Kim Dae-jung (김대중), head of its Standardization Headquarters, was elected chair for 2027 of the Project Coordination Group (PCG), the top coordination committee of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). 3GPP develops global technical specifications for mobile communications and is pursuing 6G research. TTA chairman Son Seung-hyun called the appointment encouraging at a key time for 6G standard development.
