David Sacks slams Anthropic, OpenAI slowdown argument, says two companies can just not build it
David Sacks, co-chair of the U.S. President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, criticised Anthropic and OpenAI’s calls to slow AI development. He said they should not condition a slowdown on the creation of new regulatory frameworks or outside approval. Sacks listed five issues, including calls to halt antitrust enforcement and demands for regulatory approvals. He also questioned portraying the motive as altruistic and said the easiest way to avoid superintelligence is for the two companies not to build it.
