AI to replace CEOs? OverpAId parody website draws attention
A parody website called OverpAId has been launched, presenting the idea that executives, not workers, should be replaced first as generative AI spreads. The site compares high CEO pay with the cost of an “AI CEO” and frames common executive tasks as cheaper to automate. It also criticises executive compensation levels and pay gaps, and includes a tool estimating per-employee bonuses if a CEO is fired. The site notes it is not a real product.

New identity verification agency designation process launched; Broadcast Media Communications Commission to start accepting applications in May
South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Communications Commission is starting procedures to designate new identity verification agencies. It held its fourth meeting of 2026 in writing on April 27, reported its screening plan and posted the schedule and process online. Applications will be accepted next month, with on-site inspections in June and a final decision in August. The commission also decided on administrative fines for mobile-phone retailers accused of violating a law on handset distribution.
