G7 urges rapid preparations for quantum computing threat; bitcoin, ethereum also on alert

A G7 cybersecurity working group urged governments and companies to immediately begin shifting to post-quantum cryptography, warning that technology threatening existing public-key systems is advancing faster than expected. It highlighted the risk of attacks that harvest encrypted data now and decrypt it later. The EU has set timelines for migration. Bitcoin is considering BIP-360, while Ethereum plans broader upgrades. Larger post-quantum signatures could raise storage, bandwidth and transaction costs.

ITCEN Group launches AgentGo Guard AI guardrail integrated security solution

ITCEN Group said on Tuesday it has officially launched AgentGo Guard, an AI guardrail integrated security solution to support companies and public institutions adopting generative AI and building agent ecosystems. The company said the standalone product can be deployed separately and linked to AgentGo 2026 as well as existing AI agent and RAG environments. It said the product helps pre-empt risks such as prompt injection, sensitive data leaks and jailbreak attempts, and includes DLP and masking features.

Banks and regulators launch quantum-resistant crypto project

Responsible Finance Institute (RFI) and crypto custody infrastructure firm Safeheron have launched a pilot project to test a quantum-resistant cryptocurrency wallet and on-chain transfer infrastructure, Cointelegraph reported. Banks and financial regulators from Europe, the Middle East and Asia are participating. The project uses an MPC protocol supporting NIST’s ML-DSA-65 standard on a quantum-resistant NEAR testnet. RFI said regulators including ADGM, GFSO and MFSA have confirmed participation.
