As competition among large language models shifts from simple question-and-answer to agentic AI that uses external tools and data, attention is growing on how the government’s “independent AI foundation model” project evaluates such capabilities. The second-phase Dokpamo evaluation keeps benchmark, expert and user reviews, but splits user testing into professional users and 200 members of the public. South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Thursday it will unveil a permanent hologram exhibition at Seodaemun Prison History Museum\'s women\'s ward from Aug. 15, Liberation Day. The display uses AI to restore old photos of independence activist Yu Gwan-sun and other female independence fighters and render them as 3D holograms. Visitors can view the holograms without separate devices and experience interactive exhibits. Content will fill eight rooms once used to hold female detainees.
