PS6, next-gen Xbox delays fuel concern; CD Projekt Red says consoles survive RAM shortage
CD Projekt Red said it expects next-generation consoles from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo to endure the current memory supply crunch, even as hardware costs rise and parts supplies remain uncertain. Co-CEO Michal Nowakowski said consoles still offer low barriers to entry and appeal to casual users because they are easy to connect and play. He called pricing an objective challenge and was cautious on rumours of launch delays. The company said it could adjust development plans if schedules slip.
