Waymo eyes paid robotaxi service in Singapore by 2028
Waymo has unveiled plans to launch a robotaxi service in Singapore in 2028. It will bring vehicles to Singapore in the coming days to begin mapping work and conduct autonomous driving tests in 2027 with a safety operator in the driver’s seat. Waymo aims to offer a fully autonomous ride-hailing service to the public by 2028, subject to approval by Singapore’s Land Transport Authority and safety evaluation by CETRAN.
