LPtech takes on global robot companies with teaching-less gripper
Automation is spreading across manufacturing sites as labour costs rise and hiring becomes harder, boosting demand for industrial robots and their grippers. Startup LPtech has developed a “teaching-less” gripper that replaces costly sensors and repeated programming with software-based recognition and control. CEO Park Hyung-soon (박형순) says it lowers adoption costs while maintaining performance. LPtech has won an industry award, joined a government-backed programme and reported overseas PoC work and sales in Europe.
