KISA steps up support for public sector N2SF adoption
The Korea Internet & Security Agency said on Tuesday it has selected six consortia made up of national and public agencies and security companies to push ahead with a 2026 project to support adoption of the National Network Security Framework, or N2SF. Under N2SF, information is classified into three levels and security is applied accordingly. KISA said it will also run a verification project in July to further assess field applicability and security.

Korea Post Office cuts contest screening time with in-house AI agent
Korea Post Office said it improved work efficiency by applying an in-house artificial intelligence agent developed by its staff to document screening for a contest. It used the AI judging agent in the first-round screening for the 2026 AI Innovation Idea Contest and selected entries to advance. Based on 100 submissions, the first-round screening time fell from an average of about two weeks to about two hours, it said.

Transparent PET bottles from national parks to be recycled via post office network
Transparent PET bottles separated for recycling at national parks across South Korea will be collected through the post office network and delivered to a recycled-material producer under a new circulation system. The Post Office, the Korea National Park Service and other partners will sign an agreement on Jan. 28. The program starts in March and initially covers 12 of 23 parks where four-wheel delivery and sorting facilities are available.
