KB Financial to provide 6.9 trillion won in financial support for vulnerable groups and small merchants
KB Financial Group will provide 6.9 trillion won in financial support this year for young people, low-income and vulnerable groups, and small merchants and the self-employed. It will roll out tailored support through its KB National Happiness Hope Project, including 3 trillion won in inclusive finance, 3.5 trillion won in private mid-interest-rate loans and 450 billion won in write-offs of delinquent debt. It also plans additional youth-focused products and microfinance measures.

KB Asset Management forms KB National Growth Corporate Support Fund No. 1
KB Asset Management said on Tuesday it will form the 200 billion won KB National Growth Corporate Support Fund No. 1 with capital from KB Financial Group. The fund is fully financed by KB Financial Group affiliates including KB Kookmin Bank, KB Securities, KB Insurance, KB Life Insurance and KB Capital. The government’s 2026 national growth fund plan targets about 7 trillion won in indirect investment funding this year, including 5.5 trillion won from private sources.

KB Financial holds productive finance council, launches National Happiness Growth project
KB Financial Group said on Monday it will pursue the KB National Happiness Growth and Hope project, aiming to deliver financial results the public can feel. The group will separate productive finance supporting corporate and industrial growth as “growth” and financial inclusion providing stability and opportunity as “hope.” It checked progress at a group council meeting and confirmed detailed 2026 plans, including a 20 trillion won productive and inclusive finance programme and a plan to build a 200 billion won annual fund-of-funds.
