U.S. Defense Department spreads vibe coding, builds more than 103,000 AI agents in just under 5 weeks
Semi-autonomous AI agents are being adopted rapidly on the U.S. Defense Department\'s unclassified network. TechRadar reported the department used an agent-designer version of Google Gemini on its GenAI.mil platform to build more than 103,000 agents in under 5 weeks, adding more than 20,000 new tools weekly. The agents run about 180,000 sessions a week. Officials cite productivity gains, while others warn about weakly controlled agents operating without clear human approval.
