Choi Tae-won of SK says AI can cut costs of measuring value, stresses performance-based incentives
Choi Tae-won (최태원), chairman of SK Group, said scaling solutions to social problems requires a compensation system based on results, not budgets and publicity. Speaking in Seoul at the first session of the Ecosystem Leadership Exchange, he also stressed the importance of accurately measuring social value and said advances in AI can help address the high transaction costs of precise measurement. He called for performance-based incentives and promoted the social performance incentive model.

SOVAC 2026 recruits participating companies ahead of September COEX event
Social value platform SOVAC is recruiting companies and organisations to take part in its annual event in September at COEX in Seoul. The SOVAC secretariat said it will hold SOVAC 2026 on Sept. 21-22 and seek participants involved in solving social problems and spreading social value. Eligible groups include social enterprises, social ventures, non-profits and impact investors. Selected organisations will receive full support for participation fees.

Former SK executives to mentor social ventures in scale-up programme
Happy Narae Co, a social enterprise founded by SK, said on Thursday it will recruit companies until April 30 for its 2026 SE Consultant programme. The programme pairs former SK Group executives with social venture CEOs for close mentoring to diagnose management issues and seek solutions. Since launching in 2020, 50 mentors have advised 141 social ventures and social enterprises.
