ARobot to build integrated R&D and manufacturing hub in Ansan Science Valley
Humanoid robot specialist ARobot will build an integrated building combining research and development and manufacturing functions in Ansan Science Valley (ASV) in the Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone. The company said it will sign an investment agreement with the Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone Authority, Hanyang University and Ansan city. ARobot plans to concentrate R&D and production capabilities at the site and build a locally based supply chain tied to parts suppliers in the Sihwa and Banwol industrial complexes.

Universities shift into AI talent factories as policy expands beyond AI majors
South Korea is expanding its AI talent policy to reshape entire university education systems around AI. Under the AI-centric university programme, AI training extends beyond related departments and includes mandatory basic AI education for all students, plus new interdisciplinary courses linking AI to each major. The AX graduate school programme aims to train advanced, industry-ready talent combining AI with domain expertise, with 15 universities supported and 26 companies participating in joint research and education.

KakaoTalk brand message returns 5 won in sales per won spent
Kakao said an analysis by Hanyang University researchers found KakaoTalk \"Brand Message\" generates about 5 won in sales for every 1 won spent on sending. The study examined 2,510 partners using the service from June 2025 to May 2026. Compared with before sending messages, partners’ sales rose 46.2 percent, repeat purchases 30.7 percent and visitor numbers 16.9 percent. Researchers also estimated annual consumer benefits of 2.44 billion won.
