Science ministry to hold Global AI and Digital Summit with World Bank

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will expand international cooperation in AI and digital fields with the World Bank. The ministry will hold the Global AI and Digital Summit in Seoul from Oct. 19 to 22 at the Grand Hyatt. The event is the first AI and digital summit hosted by the World Bank outside the United States. It will feature a ministerial meeting, policy forum, corporate exhibition and study tour.

Ripple says tokenised volumes to shift to public blockchains, XRPL to add institutional features in October

Ripple expects tokenised transaction volumes to shift from private to public blockchains and is expanding the XRP Ledger as an institutional tokenisation infrastructure. Ripple President Monica Long said “public” when asked where future tokenised volumes would accumulate. Ripple is adding features used in private chains, including confidential transfers and delegated permissions. Delegated permissions are due on Oct. 8, with batch-related updates targeted for mainnet activation on Oct. 9, subject to validator support.

XRP Seoul 2026 to be held Oct 3 as Ripple, South Korean financial firms gather

Ripple will hold its “XRP Seoul 2026” event on Oct. 3 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week, bringing together Ripple executives and South Korean financial firms to discuss XRP-based digital finance. Participants include Ripple President Monica Long and RippleX SVP Markus Infanger, alongside Kyobo Securities, Woori Bank and KakaoBank. Topics include tokenisation, crypto-payment-network-based payments and DeFi. The event precedes a series of October network upgrades and the Swell conference on Oct. 27-29.
