Korea\'s MSIT shares \'physical AI\' and \'AI superhighway\' strategy at APEC
South Korea shared its AI transition strategy at an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting, the government said. The Ministry of Science and ICT said Second Vice Minister Ryu Je-myung attended the 2026 APEC Digital and AI Ministerial Meeting in Chengdu. Officials discussed AI-driven growth, digital connectivity, inclusion and a safe, trusted digital environment. Ryu presented Korea’s policy direction on physical AI and next-generation digital infrastructure, including an AI superhighway and hyper AI network.

South Korea to brief Seoul-based diplomatic corps on global AI hub plan
The South Korean government will brief the Seoul-based diplomatic corps on its plan to build a \"global AI hub\" and identify country-by-country cooperation needs. The Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a joint briefing on Tuesday with envoys from about 60 countries attending. The government said it aims to share the hub’s direction and develop demand for cooperation using AI to solve problems.

South Korea declares \'global AI hub\' vision with nine international organisations
