Naver seeks investment in 216 MW solar project to secure power for data centres
Naver is seeking a stake investment and a long-term power purchase agreement for a 216 MW solar power project to meet electricity demand from its AI and cloud data centres. The company signed an MOU with Asian renewable energy developer Gurin Energy to secure renewable power for data centres. The companies will discuss investment size and purchase terms, aiming to sign a definitive agreement by year-end.

Naver Cloud wins top grade in government information security assessment
Naver Cloud said on Wednesday it received the top “excellent” grade in the 2025 comprehensive information security assessment of key private-sector ICT infrastructure conducted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency. The assessment covered Naver’s “Gak Chuncheon” data centre and marked its first review since being designated key infrastructure. Naver Cloud also received a commendation from the science minister.

The company said its 2025 integrated report covers financial and ESG results for 2025 and outlines sustainable growth plans. It is expanding its win-win programme into Naver Impact, spending 142 billion won last year and targeting a cumulative 1 trillion won by 2030.
