Oracle launches Fusion Clo AI agent runtime, boosting control but raising lock-in concerns
Oracle has introduced Fusion Clo, a runtime environment for managing AI agents that automate enterprise work. The system links with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure-based Fusion applications to automate tasks such as ERP, finance and supply chain management, using models from Google, OpenAI and others, with more to be supported later. Analysts said the approach can improve control and reduce costs, but may increase dependence on Oracle for some companies.

Oracle adds agentic app development environment to AI Agent Studio
Oracle said on Wednesday it has added a new AI-native builder environment to its AI Agent Studio, enabling customers to develop and operate AI agentic apps within its Fusion Applications enterprise suite. The new environment integrates no-code, low-code and pro-code development in a single Fusion-native framework. It supports natural-language app building, developer tools including Visual Studio Code and CLI, and AI coding tools such as OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code.
