National AI Strategy panel holds seminar on AI-based tailored welfare
South Korea\'s National AI Strategy Committee discussed legal and institutional measures to use AI to provide welfare benefits tailored to individuals. The committee held a seminar on Jan. 6 to reflect related tasks in a draft national AI action plan. Participants examined the need to improve the application-based principle under the Framework Act on Social Security, expand automatic payments in universal benefits and increase AI use in selective benefits, while considering privacy, administrative accountability and feasibility.
