Wintermute registers as U.S. broker-dealer
Wintermute\'s U.S. unit, Wintermute USA LLC, has registered as a broker-dealer, a move that can allow the firm to expand its business into traditional financial services in the United States, Cointelegraph reported. Wintermute said the unit registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. It said the registration enables Wintermute USA to trade stocks and stock options and is aimed at responding to an emerging market for tokenised securities.
