Circle revises USDC redemption fees; standard free, express 0.05 percent

Circle will remove additional fees previously charged during the USDC redemption process, while keeping a base fee for its express service. Existing Circle Mint customers will be moved to the new pricing structure from their billing cycle after Oct. 19, with no separate application required. Redemptions will be offered in standard and express tiers. Standard is free, while express carries a 0.05 percent fee before conditional credits.

Visa wins PBOC preparatory approval for China card clearing unit

Visa has received approval from the People’s Bank of China to begin preparations to set up a bank card clearing institution in China through its wholly owned unit, Visa Information Technology Beijing. The approval is a preliminary step and does not allow immediate operations. The report said Visa must complete preparations within a year and then apply for a formal licence. American Express and Mastercard previously obtained clearing licences from the PBOC.

Xcena joins OCP Global Summit 2026, showcases memory infrastructure for AI inference

Fabless semiconductor company Xcena, which develops next-generation memory infrastructure, took part in OCP Global Summit 2026 held in San Jose, California from Oct. 12 to 15, it said on Thursday. The company showcased memory infrastructure technology aimed at efficient AI inference. It presented two AI inference demos using its CXL-based memory solution MX1, including sharing KV cache across servers via a CXL memory pool and accelerating vector search using near-data processing.
