Gen Z and baby boomers accelerate exit from social media as dumbphone demand and digital detox spread
More people, led by Gen Z and baby boomers, are leaving social media for digital wellbeing, Axios reported. Citing a study released last month, it said the number of social media platforms used by U.S. adults is declining, with 12 percent of those 65 and older and 7 percent of those aged 18 to 29 not using social media at all. Demand is also rising for “dumbphones” with only essential apps.
