China AI startup Naive AI bets on mid and post-training to compete in LLMs
Chinese AI model startup Naive AI, founded in February by a Tsinghua University professor, has been valued at more than $1.4 billion and raised $400 million from Tencent and others in three funding rounds, The Information reported. Based in Beijing, it plans to release its first large language model this month as an open-weight model. The company is led by professor Dai Zhipeng and is focusing on improving model performance through mid-training and post-training techniques.
