Grayscale seeks to convert Zcash Trust into ETF, targets NYSE listing
Grayscale is moving ahead with plans to convert its Grayscale Zcash Trust into a spot exchange-traded fund. It filed a fourth amended S-3 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. If approved, the product would trade on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH and be the first U.S. spot ETF tracking a privacy coin. The filing details largely cash-based share creation and redemption, and names Coinbase and BNY Mellon among key service providers.

Circle launches cirBTC on Ethereum, targets institutional bitcoin collateral infrastructure
Circle has launched cirBTC, a bitcoin token on Ethereum backed 1:1 by native bitcoin, positioning it as a starting point for building institutional collateral infrastructure. The company said it holds the underlying bitcoin through its own entity and manages reserves separately from corporate assets, with on-chain reserve visibility. The product is designed to work with Circle Mint and USDC flows and is expected to add Arch and other chains.

Coinbase, Better to roll out bitcoin and USDC-backed mortgages across the United States
Coinbase and Better Home & Finance have introduced a mortgage product that combines a conventional home loan with a separate crypto-backed loan to fund a down payment. The companies said a couple in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has completed the first loan and they plan to launch the product across the United States in summer 2026. Initial eligible collateral is limited to bitcoin and USDC, with plans to expand supported digital assets.
