Shinsung E&G posts 3.1 billion won Q2 operating profit, returns to black
Shinsung E&G said on Thursday it posted a second-quarter consolidated operating profit of 3.1 billion won on revenue of 201.8 billion won, returning to profit from an operating loss a quarter earlier. Revenue rose 44.2 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit fell 8.8 percent from a year earlier, and the net loss narrowed to 2.2 billion won. First-half operating profit was 800 million won on revenue of 355.4 billion won.

HBM4 thickness rule eased, MR-MUF and TC-NCF upgrade race enters new phase
Competition over sixth-generation high-bandwidth memory HBM4 is shifting after JEDEC eased the HBM package thickness limit to about 775 micrometers from 720. The added margin revives options to refine bump-based processes such as MR-MUF and TC-NCF, potentially delaying hybrid bonding to HBM4E or later. Supply-chain effects are emerging, including Unitest’s contract to supply SK hynix with HBM4 wafer testers worth 22.68 billion won.

Shinsung E&G posts 2.2 billion won Q1 operating loss, down 57.4 percent year on year
Shinsung E&G said it posted first-quarter revenue of 153.7 billion won and an operating loss of 2.2 billion won. Sales rose 32.1 percent from a year earlier and the operating loss narrowed 57.4 percent. It cited temporary factors in both business units, including market supply disruptions and shipment delays in renewable energy and start-up costs and deferred sales in clean environment. First-quarter orders jumped 203 percent year on year.
