OpenAI to end ChatGPT Atlas browser, integrate features into desktop app
OpenAI is ending its standalone desktop browser, ChatGPT Atlas, about 9 months after its launch and will integrate related features into a new ChatGPT desktop app, 9to5Mac reported on July 9. OpenAI released the new desktop app on July 9, including the AI agents ChatGPT Work and ChatGPT Codex. The app supports multiple tabs, a password manager and autofill, and can access a cloud browser via Work mode.
