Russia revises crypto regulation bill to cut reporting items, set buying cap

Russia’s lower house financial markets committee approved amendments to a cryptocurrency regulation bill that drop a plan to require residents to disclose wallet addresses. The revision would instead require reporting only of holdings and transaction volumes, and it adds provisions guaranteeing judicial protection for crypto holdings regardless of past reporting. It keeps investor categories but limits non-qualified investors to high-liquidity assets and sets an annual buying cap of 300,000 roubles per regulated broker.

Trek launches throttle-equipped Borego+ to target fat-tire e-bike market

Global bicycle brand Trek has launched the Borego+, a fat-tire electric bicycle equipped with a throttle, as it targets the North American e-bike market. The Class 2 model supports pedal assist and a thumb throttle, and some areas will also sell a faster Class 3 Borego+ S. The bike uses a 750W rear hub motor and a removable 720Wh battery with up to 60 miles of range. It will be sold through dealers and online for $2,499.
