Tesla sweeps U.S.-made rankings with Model 3 and Y as Cybertruck earns top safety grade
Tesla\'s Model 3 and Model Y were named the vehicles with the highest share of U.S. production this year, ranking first and second on Cars.com\'s latest American-Made Index. The Cybertruck was not included in the index, but received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety\'s Top Safety Pick+ rating. Under recent criteria, it was the only full-size pickup to earn that grade and avoided collisions in pedestrian tests.

Tesla\'s Model 3 again ranked No. 1 in a U.S.-made vehicle assessment, holding the top spot for a sixth consecutive year. Model Y was second for a second year. The Cars.com American-Made Index covered 86 vehicles, down from 99 last year, and the share of electrified models fell. U.S. EV sales dropped 27 percent in the first quarter after a $7,500 federal EV tax credit ended in the third quarter.

Car AI boom but little money? Only 18 percent of features generate revenue
Automakers are accelerating the rollout of artificial intelligence features, but cases that translate into real revenue remain limited, an analysis showed. A live survey at an SBD Automotive webinar found most participants said only about 18 percent of current in-car AI features generate profit. Industry speakers pointed to rising cloud computing costs as usage grows, making profitability management a key task. Consumer use is increasing, but trust and bias concerns remain.
