Solo bitcoin miner hits jackpot with $75 rental hashrate to win more than $200,000
A solo bitcoin miner used about $75, or 119,000 satoshis, in rented hashrate to validate a block and earn more than $200,000 in rewards. The miner received 3.125 BTC and verified block 938092 via CKPool, with total revenue of about 3.128 BTC including fees. Data showed transaction fees of 0.003 BTC, about $180. Recent figures show 21 solo miners produced 66 BTC in the past year, up 17 percent.
