Mystery user burns all 107 bitcoin collected since 2014
An unidentified user sent 107 bitcoin to a network burn address, effectively removing them permanently. The transfer was split into five transactions with locktimes set for the same block, and the sender paid about double the typical fee to ensure inclusion. The burn address, known since 2015, has received 807 bitcoin in total but large burns above 100 bitcoin are rare. Analysts have not determined the motive or actor.
