Berkshire CEO steps up $10 billion bet on Alphabet with two-track investment in AI and power infrastructure
Berkshire Hathaway is expanding its investment in Alphabet, betting on growth in the artificial intelligence industry while also seeking gains from rising power demand from data centres. Greg Abel, Berkshire\'s CEO, said the company sees Alphabet as a key AI player and also expects indirect benefits as Berkshire Hathaway Energy supplies electricity to data centres. Berkshire approved an additional $10 billion Alphabet purchase and plans large energy infrastructure spending through 2026.
